Aged Care Dietitian and Nutritionist

Regarded as one of Queenslands leading aged care dietitians, Access Allied Health provide tailored nutrition plans for aged care facilities. Current federal legislation requires all aged care facilities be assessed according to certain accreditation standards. Aged care accreditation includes the supply of adequate aged care nutrition and hydration plans. While it is the responsibility of each facility to demonstrate that it meets these Aged Care Accreditation Standards, our dietitians possess an excellent working knowledge of these aged care nutrition standards and are able to assist facilities in attaining and maintaining accreditation. This may include individual nutrition assessments, menu reviews and planning, staff education or a variety of other steps to help in aged care nutrition.

Providing home based visits, the Access Allied Health Occupational Therapy team aim to help people maintaining their independence and safety in their own home. Our Sunshine Coast based Occupational Therapists have extensive experience and knowledge in home modifications and equipment that can help you find independence.

Our Occupational Therapy unit accepts referrals from general practitioners, hospitals, aged care facilities, occupational therapists or other allied health providers. Being a registered DVA provider, Access Allied Health Occupational Therapists are able to help with any occupational therapy requirements, including equipment prescription, falls prevention and ADL advice.
