Access Allied Health COVID-19 Response Plan

Information for Clients
Access Allied Health is committed to the health and wellbeing of our staff and clients and to doing our part to slow down the spread of COVID 19.  We want you to know that we are closely monitoring the current COVID 19 situation and are responding to government directions and regulations on a day to day basis.  In the midst of this unprecedented climate we understand that our clients still require dietetic services as part of their ongoing health care and we want you to know that our services will remain open with some adjustments as outlined below.

We want you to know that all staff have completed online learning modules on supporting people to stay infection free.

As of the 16th of March 2020, Access Allied Health has put in place specific procedures and guidelines in order to ensure the safety and health of its staff and clients.  As mentioned, these guidelines will be monitored and adjusted as needed.

Service Updates

Clinic based Services
If you are receiving services in one of our clinics on the Sunshine Coast or Gympie, these will continue with additional precautions as outlined in this briefing.

My Health for Life Groups
Our current My Health for Life groups will continue with the following alterations:

Telehealth
We are able to provide a telehealth appointment through the zoom platform for our private fee consultations should this be your preference.  Those with an EPC referral are also able to access bulk billed telehealth services until September 2020 as per the recent Government policy changes.

Home Visits
We will continue to offer home visits and will expand this service to our more vulnerable clients with a few extra precautions.  Please see the guidelines below that we will be adopting.

If you answer yes to any of these questions we will cancel your face to face appointment or home visit and endeavour to reschedule your appointment to a more appropriate time or conduct a telehealth appointment if desired.

Additional Measures
  1. All staff will download the COVID-Safe application onto their mobile device
  2. Our staff are encouraged to get the seasonal flu vaccination

Reassurance and Communication with Clients
We want to keep you informed that these extra measures are to protect us all from from the spread of COVID-19.  Please do not be alarmed by these measures, rather be assured that we are doing our due diligence to stay up to date with the government’s regulations and guidelines and we are adjusting our practice as necessary.  We are committed to keep our services open with these altered work practices in place to keep you and all our staff safe.
