Weight Loss Programs
Access Dietitians offers a range of comprehensive weight management programs specifically designed to help you lose weight and keep it off long term! Our team of dedicated dietitians and exercise physiologists will motivate you with clear, practical advice and a program tailored to suit your needs.
Our programs range from 3 - 6 months however longer programs are also available where required. You will see our dietitian on a weekly basis at a clinic near you and our exercise physiologist at key points throughout your program. At your initial assessment you will have opportunity to discuss with one of our dietitians your weight loss and lifestyle goals. In addition, we’ll take a medical and diet history as well as some baseline measurements. Our dietitians will further outline all elements of our programs and recommend a program that will best meet your needs. There is no obligation to proceed with a program after your initial assessment.
What are the key aspects of the program?
- Weekly one-on-one consultations with dietitians and exercise physiologists who will motivate, support and educate throughout your program, monitoring your progress and to help you to reach your goals
- Individualised education from dietitians outlining nutrition principles and lifestyle strategies to help you maintain your weight loss long term.
- Dietary advice which is reviewed at each appointment with your dietitian. For those wishing to do so, there is opportunity to use a meal replacement which, for a defined period of time, can be incorporated into your meal plan.
- Exercise advice including practical instruction on optimal fat burning activities with our exercise physiologist. You will also be given a home based resistance training program.
- We will maintain regular communication with your GP to ensure they are kept up-to-date with your progress.
